ADOPT
When you adopt a pet from an Animal Welfare organization, you are saving a life. You are discouraging the indiscriminate breeding of dogs for which there are simply not enough homes. Adopting a rescue dog for your family presents a wonderful opportunity to teach your children basic values of compassion and caring, and also about the value of second chances.
FOSTER
Foster homes are the difference between life and death to an animal in need.
One of the most important and rewarding jobs that a volunteer can do is to serve as a foster home for an animal before he or she is placed in a
forever home. The Animal Guardian Society (TAGS) does not have a shelter facility; therefore, we rely on volunteer foster parents to care for our rescued animals.
VOLUNTEER
The Animal Guardian Society volunteers are the most valued assets of our charity. They are essential participants with a shared responsibility in fulfilling our mission. Every volunteer is responsible for adhering to practices that are in accordance with applicable laws and to a code of ethics that reflects the highest standards of individual behaviour. Our organizational structure encourages volunteer involvement, open communication, teamwork and cooperation.
DONATE
100% of your donations goes to helping the animals in our program as we have no paid staff. TAGS’s largest expense by far is veterinary bills. We want to be sure that all our dogs are healthy, and sometimes this means expensive medications or surgeries that cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars. In addition, all TAGS dogs are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped prior to adoption. While TAGS is fortunate to receive some donations of dog food, we also spend money purchasing quality dog food to feed to our dogs in foster care. Other expenses include the production of training, educational and promotional material.
